Supply Chain

What is it

The supply chain or supplies consists of the planning, organization and control of those activities related to the flow and transformation of goods, from the conception of a product to the end user. It includes suppliers (first, second and third level), PM warehouses (raw material – direct or indirect), the production line, Finished Products warehouses, distribution channels, wholesalers, retailers and the end customer. All functions involved in the supply chain are aimed at receiving and fulfilling a customer request. These functions include, but are not limited to, new product development, marketing, operations, distribution, finance, and customer service.
